Phoenix, AZ (Vocus/PRWEB ) April 5, 2010 — Pedata RV Center cites positive US consumer confidence index numbers released for January 2010. January’s 55.9 represents a 16 month high. Is this thing turning around???
After many many months in a downward spiral, is the RV industry finding it’s legs?
This post is more of question that a source of information. As we all have been steadily beat up in the RV industry, and as the snow begins to thaw for the start of another RV season…is this industry finally on the upward tick?
Recently, Portland, Oregon hosted the Spring RV show. Attendance seemed to be steady. Units were sold. People were smiling…happy to start off their RV experience (some for the first time, and some for the 50th).
So, what I ask of this blog post is for all of those RVers out there to add a comment about what they see in the RV world from their perspective.
Anytime Internet Access on the Bus
“Now it’s becoming more about the trip itself, and what riders can get done during it.” (LJWorld.com)
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! Let riders get more done on their trips. Imagine, every morning taking your local mass transit system to work, keeping the city green, saving on gas, being more useful with your time. Now imagine carrying your laptop with you on board, stowing it away quietly in its bag not to be touched until you are arrive at work. No wireless on the bus! What IF, what IF…you could work on your laptop from the minute you board that bus until the minute you get off? WiFi In Motion offers a product targeted at the transit and bus markets. The system is robust enough to handle multiple users and offers seamless anytime internet access to riders. For more information check out our website.
A Customer’s Testimonial…
This testimonial is taken directly from an email we received from a recent customer. It’s exciting to see WiFi In Motion helping people stay connected while on the road.
“HI,
The reason I selected the WiFi In Motion product is because I had considered another product sold thru Camping World, but I could only find one testimonial concerning it. I found numerous testimonials concerning your product in RV Education 101 newsletters and a link to a blog called “The Long Long Honeymoon”. After viewing the video and reading their blog, I found numerous other user comments (some comparing with satellite service). I decided that your product has been “out there” longer than the other products (I did see descriptions for two or three others). After I made my initial contact, the people responding from WiFi In Motion were terrific! It was almost like being in a chat room, the responses to my questions came so quickly. If the product works as well as I expect, I am going to be a very happy camper (if not, you will continue to hear from me .”
WiFi In Motion joins the RVDA
WiFi In Motion became the newest member of the RVDA, Recreational Vehicle Dealer’s Association, this past week. The RVDA website says that they are “the only national association dedicated to advancing the RV retailer’s best interests through education, member services, industry leadership, and market expansion programs that promote the increased sale and use of RVs and that enhance the positive image of the RV experience.” The organization hosts the largest dealer convention once a year (this year in Las Vegas). On the consumer side, the RVDA serves as a great jumping off point for information about the industry, dealer networks, and RV rentals. If you’re in the market for information about the RV market, this is a great place to start.
Fifty States in Fifty Weeks!
I came across this article on RvIndustryNews.com yesterday. This is one of these reasons I love the RV world. It certainly takes the dedicated, the adventurous, and the road warrior to jump in yor RV for fifty weeks to see the ENTIRE United States. I love that this family decided to not put the trip on hold until “the kids get older” or “the timing is better”. They jumped in a did. I’ve added their site to my google reader to follow and enjoy. Go Bacon Family!
2009 Portland Metro RV Dealer Spring Show
The past weekend, the Portland Metro RV Dealer Spring show was in full swing. The show was a great kick off to the upcoming RV season with dealers, devices, and tips and tricks. WiFi In Motion was there talking with owners and consumers about mobile internet access anywhere on the open road. Our a local Portland dealer, RV Sights N Sounds was the only booth offering a wireless internet option for your RV. Thanks to all of you who stopped by the booth. We genuinely enjoy sharing the WiFi In Motion message with you and think that having anytime internet access make the open road just that more fun!
The Long, Long Honeymoon
One of the cool things about our business is the really neat people that we get to meet each day. We met Sean and Kristy from of The Long, Long Honeymoon a few months ago. They’ve been using a WiFi In Motion RV kit since then for anywhere wireless access in their Airstream. They loved the product so much that they even did a video about it! Sean was amazed at the ability to upload his large videos to his site using the WiFi In Motion system. Sean and Kristy offer their visitors videos on there blog about everything RV. This Sunday they will be appearing on HGTV’s “RV 2009” show. Set your DVR to record the show!

Coming soon to a highway near you…
The WiFi In Motion solution made its’ debut in the Spring of 2007 at the Portland Metro RV Dealers show in Portland, Oregon. The show was a huge success, and we were inspired by the excitement and interest of those that attended the show. We are very close to an official launch of the WiFi In Motion system, but you can get yours today by visiting our site at www.wifiinmotion.com and clicking on Place an Order.
In the meantime, we will share a bit about the solution. The kit comes with a high-gain antenna, a 3-watt signal amplifier, a 3G wireless router, and all the accessories one could need. The solution allows an RV, boat, semi-truck, or a 1998 Geo Metro, for that matter, to become its’ own mobile hotspot. It uses cellular networks as the backbone (requires a data card). No worries…as we can supply that to you as well.
Give us a call at 1-866-959-WIFI (9434) to learn more about this solution, and how it can help you…stay connected.
