Is this thing turning around???

After many many months in a downward spiral, is the RV industry finding it’s legs?
This post is more of question that a source of information. As we all have been steadily beat up in the RV industry, and as the snow begins to thaw for the start of another RV season…is this industry finally on the upward tick?
Recently, Portland, Oregon hosted the Spring RV show. Attendance seemed to be steady. Units were sold. People were smiling…happy to start off their RV experience (some for the first time, and some for the 50th).
So, what I ask of this blog post is for all of those RVers out there to add a comment about what they see in the RV world from their perspective.

Sheri and I RV locally in and around Austin Texas. We see many new parks being built and many more people we meet live in full time or are considering full time living. The dealers (who will say anything) tell us that many people are buying to live in as well. We see this as a trend as America gets ‘real’ about the need to really have 2500 square foot houses. Also, as ‘green’ becomes more prevalent, we believe RV’s will grow in popularity for portable living – not so green when moving, but if you locate close to work, then your daily commute will reduce substantially. Anyway, these are some of our thoughts.
